I moved to Stock in the 1980's and met several members of the Drama Group. They were casting a play called when 'When We Are Married' and twisted my arm to audition. I had never acted before and to my dismay was cast as Annie Parker - one of the main characters. It was challenging learning the lines but rehearsals were fun. The mixed group of men and women with ages from 20 - 80 were very friendly. I was incredibly nervous production week, but the play was a great success and I'd caught the acting bug.

Since then I have been involved in almost every production playing a variety of different characters and have directed many successful plays for the group. I have also worked backstage as stage manager and prompt.

I was secretary of the group for many years before being 'promoted' to president.
